Shark Sighting Closes Maui Beach (KITV Honolulu)

Maui officials confirmed that a 10-foot tiger shark was seen about 20 yards off Kanaha Beach. Parks officials closed off Kanaha Beach shortly before 9 a.m on the 17th. Officials saw the shark about 20 yards from the shore. Department of Land and Natural Resources workers also closed more of the beach for one mile in each direction of the lifeguard tower.
